This week’s Wisdom for the Weekend is a quote from a book that I absolutely adore. It happens to be one of the books I reach for, for daily inspiration. Inspired and Unstoppable: Wildly Succeeding in Your Life’s Work! By Tama Kieves.
The quote is: “It’s not about knowing how to make it happen or being “worthy”. You didn’t choose your dream. It chose you. Say yes to your only reality and unimaginable adventure. Say yes to the ride. You belong in the life of your dreams. And you don’t belong anywhere else.”
I am so excited to share my interview with Tama Kieves, next week on the podcast. Stay tuned!

Want to know what it takes to create an epic partnership? I had such an astounding conversation with Andy Drish, the co-founder of The Foundation which teaches entrepreneurs how to start and scale software business. When he is not working, he has a profound way of looking at relationships and expressing love. Woah, I’m still swooning! He’s implanted such a beautiful vision of what a partnership could be, definitely something I would love to incorporate into my next relationship. It’s so refreshing to have a man want, on such a deep level, to create such richness in his partnership with his beloved.

Have you heard this phrase, "She is such a good girl, daughter, sister, mother, wife?" I think it's way overrated! It is quite possible you are being a martyr and overextending yourself and beyond! My advice to you, you need to just stop. Stop giving so much, stop giving from a depleted place, instead nurture yourself first and practice self-care often. Give from a full place. It's okay to stop being such a good girl! You'll feel so much better because of it.

Learning to say no is easier said than done. But, it's essential to say no in certain instances in order to maintain your sanity and wellness. Gently being firm is the approach I've had to make with family, recently. Doing so, allows for me to restore and replenish my energy. If you are overextending yourself to the point of exhaustion, it's okay to say no.

To all of my Sacred Medicine listeners and sisters, I've had a rough couple of weeks. You can listen to my two most previous Wisdom for the Weekend episodes to hear my self-reflection about stress, losing my shit and taking a break. This week, while I sit in a beautiful room in Tuscany, Italy I find myself not wanting to explore. Instead, spending some quiet time in solitude is what I find to be helpful. It's what keeps me grounded. In this episode, I share my current experience, as well as, offer a reminder to you, to do what keeps you grounded when life seems like it's spinning out of control.

I decided to go ahead with a planned vacation after spending countless days at the hospital bedside with my dad. My body couldn't handle it anymore; my adrenals exhausted, and I was emotionally burnt out. I was experiencing sleepless nights, not eating, and felt like things were spiraling out of control. So while it was a very hard decision to move forward with the planned vacation, it most definitely is a well deserved break for my body and my soul. So, this episode is a reminder to you to take a break before you break down.
